TheForward Review

§ A Quarterly of Chiropractic Research • Tulsa, Oklahoma §
Edited by Jason Forward, DC
From the Editor

Research moves through the medical world at the speed of its slowest journal. Chiropractic deserves faster.

Each quarter, The Forward Review takes the chiropractic literature that matters, systematic reviews, controlled trials, guideline updates, and reads it back to the profession in plain clinical English, within weeks of publication rather than years. This is not peer-reviewed commentary. It is practicing-chiropractor commentary, from a Tulsa clinic, on what the evidence actually looks like from the exam table.

About The Forward Review

Editorial scope. The Forward Review publishes practicing-chiropractor commentary on new clinical research within 48 hours of a study's release. Coverage is limited to musculoskeletal research, chiropractic-adjacent manual therapies, and clinical-practice guidelines relevant to chiropractic practice.

Editorial process. Dr. Forward personally reads each cited study in full (not abstract-only), identifies what is novel, what the limitations are, and what it means at the exam table. A plain-language summary is drafted alongside the technical commentary.

Peer review status. The Forward Review is not currently peer-reviewed. It is editorial commentary authored by a single licensed chiropractor. Future issues may transition to invited peer review. All commentary is clearly attributed and citable.
